In the last few days, we’ve been reviewing the season with a few key stats from the recently ended PSL campaign. We close out our four-part PSL Season Review with the final three teams: Mamelodi Sundowns, SuperSport United, and TS Galaxy.
Sundowns
Position swing from last season: +7
Top scorer in all comps: Iqraam Rayners (22 goals)
Highs: Unbeaten league campaign; Cardoso won first 7 league games — a PSL record
Lows: Knocked out in the semis/finals of all domestic and continental Cups
+52 – Sundowns finished the season with a goal difference of +52, the first team in PSL history to end a campaign with 50+ goal difference.

SuperSport United
Position swing from last season: -7
Top scorer in all comps: Christian Saile (5 goals)
Highs: Narrowly avoided relegation with a crucial point on the final day
Lows: Ended Top 8 streak that had lasted since the 1999/00 season
14 – SuperSport ended up in 14th place, their joint-lowest ever PSL finish (14th also in 1997/98).
TS Galaxy
Position swing from last season: -1
Top scorer in all comps: Dzenan Zajmovic (11 goals)
Highs: Finished 5th — their best-ever top-flight finish
Lows: Departures of key figures, including long-time coach Sead Ramovic
5 – TS Galaxy ended in fifth place, their highest ever top-flight finish (beating 6th from last season).
